Texas Holdem Rules
There are different variants of Texas Holdem but the basic sets of rules for playing online Texas Holdem remain the same. Some of the Texas Holdem rules that are common to almost all the casinos are listed below.
The players have to choose amongst themselves a dealer for the game. All the players are dealt two cards each with their face pointing downwards. The cards are distributed from the left of the dealer. The two players to the immediate left of the dealer are called as the small and big blinds as they are supposed to make a forced bet during every hand.
All the players get a chance to be the big and the small blind as the dealer rotates across the table. The player on the left of the big blind is known to be under the gun. The player can either call the big blind or raise the stakes. The pattern continues across the table till the players get the pot right.
The dealer flips the three community cards on the table also known as the flop. The second round of betting begins after the flop. After the conclusion of betting, and getting the pot right, the dealer turns the last card called as the turn card or 4th street. Again the betting is completed and the pot is right. The last card is turned over by the dealer known as Fifth Street or river card in the game’s language. The final betting now takes place. The players that remain can either raise or flip their cards. The player that has the strongest hand with the pockt and community cards wins the game.
