Betting when you are the dealer
You can use to this strategy to make some money, but it would definitely not earn you a fortune. The strategy is to make a raise when its just you are the dealer and only the blinds remain in the game. If you make a raise, the blinds might fold, but if you make a call, the blinds might just check.
Making a steal raise
This is a really good strategy to use when all the players have already checked and its your turn to act. The strategy would work but it shouldn’t be used very often as the players who are good at the game would get on to you quickly. Making is steal raise is a good idea when you have a nut flush draw. Players usually check on the raiser. You will have a larger pot to win if you make a draw on your hand. Even otherwise you have a chance to win if your fifth card makes a good hand when you check.
Luring the opponents to make a check-raise
The idea is to make the opponents believe that they have a better hand so that they would raise their bet and increase the pot value. The players have a tendency to bet more once they have made a raise.
Making a reckless opening bet
This move is done to limit and reduce the number of players in the game. The player who opens makes a raise causing other players to bet twice at once. This is a bluffing strategy and works best when there are only a few players in the game. The move will cause many players to fold and reduce the number of players. The remaining ones will either be very aggressive or must be having a good hand.
Making a squeeze
This tactic is to be used in a short handed game. If you have a good hand you think that the other players might be on a draw, you can bet. This way you can limit their pot odds and have a better chance of winning.
